Community

Bojana Panevska, Fotini Lazaridou-Hatzigogi, Raluca Voinea, and Maja Bekan – four great women discussed how can artists work in these situations without exhausting the communities as resources, and at the same time create sustainable relations? What are the examples (while avoiding the word best practice) to show that working with communities addresses our existence and co-dependence as human beings regardless of the physical locality, and how can that be translated into a global perspective?

Care

Care is a category that plays a huge role in today’s world torn by numerous turbulences. During the discussion, we will focus on searching for the essence of care as an artistic practice, but also as an infrastructure for institutional activities, part of which are residency programs. What is care for in the art circuit and in the various models of art production? How is it made? Who distributes it and when? Is it short-lived or infinite? What are the effects of creating networks of concern in residency programs? Are they the same for artists, institutions, local communities? And what is the future of care and its role as a tool for artistic activities?
